Pashupati Aryaghat Revitalisation Project - Chaudhary Foundation

Pashupati Aryaghat is one of the most sacred sites for Hindus in Nepal and at the heart of the Chaudhary Foundation’s cultural preservation projects.
After Chaudhary went to cremate his mother in 2001, he became determined that the Aryaghat area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, should be renovated and preserved because people deserve dignity during their last rites.
Chaudhary Foundation has since renovated Ananta Narayan Temple, Bamleshwari Temple, Batsaleshwaripati, Panch Ganesh, Mangalagauri, drinking water spouts and other structures in the surrounding area. The project was carried out with the support of various government and international stakeholders.
The renovation was handed over to Govinda Tandon, the chairperson of Pashupatinath Development Trust on July 7, 2017. Manjeev Singh Puri, the ambassador of India, was the chief guest of the event and inaugurated the Mangalagaur Temple.
